「我們不期望消費者滿意戴爾的作法,但是我們會盡最大努力來做後續處理,」戴爾台灣
區總經理廖仁祥說。

接任戴爾總經理一職不過八個月的廖仁祥,在今(2)日發佈聲明稿表示將賠償消費者一
千元到三千元折價券之後,稍晚接受ZDNet記者電話訪問時表示,由於此次網站標錯價格
事件,引發的後續訂單規模太大,致使該公司必須花上將近一個禮拜的時間來處理這個問
題。面對消費者後續極有可能的不滿,他表示賠償辦法已經是最終版本,不會再有翻案可
能。戴爾現在能做的就是展現最大誠意,尋求大家諒解。

他表示這個可能不盡如人意的補償作法,是兼顧了戴爾的利潤合理性和執行的可行性:先
前,消保會和消基會都提出了建議,指出戴爾應該提出階梯性折扣,或者兩台內訂單應按
原標價出貨。廖仁祥指出,發送折價券是最為簡易的作法。

「戴爾在網路上銷售的液晶螢幕價格,已經非常吸引人了,」他以此回答何以僅提供一千
元的液晶螢幕折價券。

戴爾是在上週四(25)晚間捅下了這個簍子:液晶螢幕的標價比原價便宜了7千元左右。
消息傳開之後,8個小時間湧入2萬6千多客戶,接到4萬3千多筆訂單,訂購將近14萬台平
面顯示器。

事隔一個禮拜,戴爾終於在今日確定了補償辦法。訂購一台或多台液晶螢幕的顧客,每位
顧客會收到一張面額為新台幣1,000元的液晶螢幕現金折價券;由於有些顧客還同時訂購
了小筆電、筆記型電腦以及/或桌上型電腦,這些消費者會再領到一張面額為新台幣3,000
元的電腦現金折價券。使用期限至7月31日。

戴爾會在明(3)日進一步公布實施細節。例如消費者將會以何種方式領取折價券。

一向自豪於從製造到出貨效率的戴爾,這次的危機處理能力和風險控管表現被市場打了不
及格的分數。對此廖仁祥也有話要說,表示由於中間間隔了一個週末,訂單結算是在星期
一才正式出爐。當天之後即馬不停蹄和消保會、消基會和民間專家學者諮商洽詢。

「我們絲毫沒有浪費時間來處理這件事,」廖仁祥說,「這一個星期是我最艱難(hard)
的一個禮拜。」 只不過,一再出包的戴爾,何以這次沒有比照先前摸摸鼻子認帳;接下
來又如何防堵類似事件重演,都會是市場想問的問題。

「我們參考過很多個案,但是並沒有一個通則來做。再加上這次的規模實在太大,」廖仁
祥說。根據估算,在最保守的情況下,戴爾至少要為這次事件付出將近三千萬台幣的代價
。不過廖仁祥表示無法透露賠償金額。

三千萬台幣買到的一堂課,將讓戴爾慎重檢討。廖仁祥表示,此次發生的網站錯標價格,
係人為疏忽。因此該公司已經在內部召開檢討會議,確保不會再重蹈覆轍。
