因為我之前住美國,在美國辦Costco 會員
回台灣之後就繼續用我在美國辦的卡
所以... 剛才看到了這個討論串以後
忍不住去查了一下美國Costco 的return policy

會員費的部份你不滿意就全額退費
商品的部份比台灣Costco 列得更詳細一點
但是大原則一樣
We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell,
and will refund your purchase price, with the following
exceptions:
「例外」的有:
電器類90天
一克拉以上的鑽石(需要有貨、經過檢查加上帶文件等等)
煙酒類
輪胎電池等有使用年限的東西 (食物沒說喔)
客製化、訂製的產品
所以食物不是在「例外」中,一般商品類也沒有提到需要有貨
所以...
假設我現在寫信給美國Costco 問
說我對你們這款燕麥有疑慮,所以我想退貨
但是過去幾年買的都吃完了可以退嗎
然後,如果美國客服回我說沒問題可以退的話
我可以拿著美國客服的回信去跟台灣退貨櫃檯說...
全球Costco 的return policy 都應該一樣所以美國可以退台灣也可以退
OR 我拿的是美國卡所以我是美國合約你要照美國合約?
PS. 我沒研究過Costco 各國會員的合約有沒有不同耶真糟糕
回到這件事情有板友已經找消保官這一點來說
我覺得可能需要更多會員去退貨
累積一定數量的個案,才不會只是個案
而且比較容易對店家造成壓力
若是消保官沒辦法還大家公道
還有集體訴訟的可能
當然集體訴訟是另外一回事,而且很耗時間
但是這方面說不定可以問問看消基會能否協助
而且這是一個原則問題,不只是燕麥事件
如果燕麥事件讓台灣Costco 確立了
就算店家/廠商出包也要有貨才能退的原則
那麼未來台灣的消費者真的會很可憐
直接訴諸媒體不一定是最好的方式
很多人看到新聞第一反應大概是:台灣鯛又來了
但是要解釋說這次是廠商的問題所以消費者想退已經吃掉的貨
媒體不一定會報導得很清楚
當然最後還是很有可能上媒體啦
但是最好是在大家有比較完整的證據和論述(給記者直接抄)
而且被拒絕退貨的人數夠多的情況下比較好
