hi, It may be best to have your friend buy a money order then send it over
instead of a personal check.

Because the time period needed for USA personal check to clear out the
process is extremely long. I had case before which it required me to wait
almost a month and half long.

Which is very inconvenience.

So if you could, please have your friend to get me a money order instead.
